USJJF Dan Level Ranks

The USJJF Central Technical Committee has instituted minimal time in grade and age requirements for all Dan ranks for promotion to USJJF Rank. The Time in Grade requirements are the generally accepted International standards.

Note: "Minimum" Time-In-Grade is only considered for exceptionally active USJJF Leaders working at the Regional, National or International Level to further the development of Ju-Jitsu or Traditional Kodokan Judo.

Shichidan, 7^th Degree	40 years old	6 years	8 - 10 years
Hachidan, 8^th Degree	50 years old	7 years	9 - 11 years
Kudan, 9^th Degree	60 years old	8 years	12 - 14 years
Judan, 10^th Degree	70 years old	9 years	13 - 16 years
