Fall Camp 2005
The recent Fall Camp sanctioned by the USJJF & USMAF
was a Great Success!
The annual Fall Camp was hosted by Shihan Bob Davis of Omega Martial
Arts in Elizabeth, Colorado.
Participants from five Clubs came together for a weekend
of intensive training on Traditional Skills & Kata in
Ju-Jitsu, Kodokan Judo & Karate. The Saturday morning training included a
"wealth of techniques" covering Self-Defense skills
against punching / kicking, grips, holds and multiple attacks. Sensei Bethers,
President of USJJF led the group through many
techniques and variations while explaining strategy and good "common sense" for
Self Defense.
The afternoon session focused on the Traditional Kodokan
Judo (TKJ) including teaching the Kata of Kodokan Goshin jutsu.
Camp participants got a "big helping" of Waza & Kata, visited with Old
Friends and many made New Friends!
Next year, Omega Martial Arts will again host a Weekend Training Event in
August, 2006. See the "Schedule of Events" section at
www.usjjf.org or www.usmaf.org or www.ustkj.org for further details. The 2006
Winter Camp will be conducted in Ohio, hosted by the Kwanmukan.
